What we collect — and what we don’t
The short version: there are no accounts, no logins, and no tracking cookies. You can use screenmytrade without giving us anything. Here is exactly what happens with data.
No account, no sign-in
screenmytrade has no user accounts. You don’t register, log in, or create a profile, and we don’t build one for you. The score a stock returns is the same for everyone — nothing is personalised.
Your watchlist stays on your device
When you follow a stock, the list is saved in your browser’s local storage on that device only. It is never sent to a server and we never see it. Clearing your browser data removes it. (A small local counter also remembers how many stock pages you’ve viewed, so the feedback prompt only appears once — this too never leaves your device.)
Feedback you choose to send
If you use the feedback panel, we store what you type, the page you sent it from, and — only if you add it — your email address, so we can reply. Leave the email blank and your note stays anonymous. Please don’t include anything sensitive.
That submission is sent to and stored in Google Sheets (Google acts as our processor) — the same tooling many small sites use for a contact form. We use it only to read and respond to your feedback (our lawful basis is legitimate interest in improving the site and replying to you), we don’t share it, and we delete entries once they’re no longer useful. You can ask us to delete yours at any time — email [email protected].
Basic, privacy-friendly analytics
To understand roughly how the site is used — how many people visit, which pages, which features get used — we use privacy-light, aggregate analytics. It counts events (like “a stock page was viewed”), never people:
- No cookies and no advertising or cross-site tracking.
- No persistent identifier — events are anonymous and can’t be tied back to you or linked into a profile.
- We honour your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.
- This may include Cloudflare’s privacy-first Web Analytics and our own anonymous, aggregate event counts. Neither identifies you.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver pages and protect against abuse — routine for any website. The stock data itself is public end-of-day market data, recomputed daily.
